Marketplace Policy & Vendor Terms
MUBATIQUE is a multi-vendor marketplace technology platform. Registered vendors are independent commercial entities. Vendors retain full commercial ownership of their brand, pricing, and garments. MUBATIQUE provides catalog discovery, customer body measurement management, and automated payment split processing via Paystack.
1. Vendor Eligibility & Onboarding Standards
To list garments and receive orders on MUBATIQUE, every fashion designer must:
- Provide verified business registration details (CAC) or valid national identification (NIN/Voter's Card/Passport).
- Submit genuine face verification and contact credentials.
- Maintain an active Nigerian commercial bank account in their legal business or personal name.
- Undergo bank account name verification through our automated Paystack bank resolution service to generate an official Paystack Subaccount (
ACCT_...).
2. Paystack Dynamic Split Settlement Architecture
MUBATIQUE operates on a non-custodial financial model:
- Paystack Dynamic Split: At payment initialization, the vendor and eligible delivery-person allocations are assigned to their respective Paystack Subaccounts. Paystack subsequently settles the applicable amount to the linked settlement account according to Paystack's settlement process.
- Non-Custodial Account Model: New Paystack Split marketplace transactions do not credit MUBATIQUE custodial wallet balances and do not create new withdrawable marketplace funds.
- Settlement Process: Paystack subsequently processes settlement to the beneficiary's linked commercial bank account according to Paystack's standard settlement timetable.
3. Platform Commission Model
MUBATIQUE's approved standard marketplace platform commission is:
The ₦100 platform fee applies ONCE per customer order, regardless of whether the checkout contains items from 1 vendor, 2 vendors, or 5 vendors.
In multi-vendor checkouts, the single ₦100 platform fee is deterministically allocated across participating vendors in proportion to each vendor's merchandise subtotal using integer kobo arithmetic (Hare-Niemeyer method), ensuring that the exact sum of all allocations equals exactly ₦100.00 (10,000 kobo) with zero rounding drift.
4. Fulfillment Options & Delivery Settlement Architecture
Marketplace orders are fulfilled according to one of four auditable delivery models:
- Vendor-Managed Delivery (
VENDOR_MANAGED): The vendor arranges delivery directly (via personal dispatch, bus park delivery, or contracted courier). The delivery fee collected from the customer is split directly into the vendor's Paystack subaccount at checkout. - MUBATIQUE Delivery Personnel (
MUBATIQUE_DELIVERY_PERSONNEL): Vetted delivery riders pre-assigned before payment authorization receive the delivery fee directly into their own Paystack subaccount (ACCT_...) via the Paystack dynamic split. MUBATIQUE never holds rider fees in custody. - External Logistics Partner (
EXTERNAL_LOGISTICS_PARTNER): Dispatched through partnered third-party logistics courier networks under direct or integrated routing. - MUBATIQUE Logistics (
MUBATIQUE_LOGISTICS): Applies strictly when MUBATIQUE operates the delivery transport or hub routing. The delivery fee is classified strictly as MUBATIQUE Logistics Revenue (earned logistics revenue), completely distinct from the gross ₦100 platform commission.
5. Product Listings, Quality & Bespoke Tailoring Obligations
Vendors agree to maintain high professional standards:
- Accurate Imagery: Photos and videos must depict actual finished products or realistic fabric samples. Stock photos of unauthorized third-party brands are strictly prohibited.
- Bespoke Accuracy: When an order includes customer measurements, the garment must be cut and tailored according to the recorded specifications within industry-standard tolerances (1.5 inches / 3.8 cm).
- Processing Deadlines: Vendors must update order statuses accurately (from
PROCESSINGtoREADY_FOR_SHIPMENT) within the agreed production window.
6. Prohibited Practices & Penalties
The following conduct results in immediate account suspension or termination:
- Off-Platform Steering: Attempting to redirect MUBATIQUE customers to pay off-platform via private bank transfer or direct cash.
- Counterfeiting & Plagiarism: Selling trademarked knockoffs or falsely claiming authorship of third-party copyrighted designs.
- Fraudulent Dispatch: Falsifying delivery tracking information, generating fictitious waybills, or colluding to defraud customers.
7. Returns, Alterations & Dispute Protocol
When a customer lodges an eligible claim under our Refund & Return Policy:
- Vendors are given 48 hours to inspect evidence and offer a resolution (alteration, replacement, or refund approval).
- If a vendor fails to respond or is found to have sent a materially defective item, MUBATIQUE will authorize an administrative refund via the Paystack gateway.
